Oracle RAC – Access the database from OAM network

Method-1
Port redirect from ssh based tool for example SecureCRT.

Method-2

Add Second Address in Local Listener
Here Address-1 of Public Network
Requirement is to add OAM network Address in Local Listener with same port.

So We added Address-2 of OAM network.

Node-1
Step-1 Update listener.ora from Grid Home

$ cd /u01/11.2.0/grid/network/admin
$ cat listener.ora
LISTENER=(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=IPC)(KEY=LISTENER))
                      (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=10.25.xx.yy1)(PORT=1521)(KEY=LISTENER)))) # line added by Agent
LISTENER_SCAN1=(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=IPC)(KEY=LISTENER_SCAN1)))) # line added by Agent
ENABLE_GLOBAL_DYNAMIC_ENDPOINT_LISTENER_SCAN1=ON # line added by Agent
ENABLE_GLOBAL_DYNAMIC_ENDPOINT_LISTENER=ON # line added by Agent

Step-2 Update tnsnames.ora from Oracle Home
cd $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin
vi tnsnames.ora

Node-2
Step-1 Update listener.ora from Grid Home

$ cd /u01/11.2.0/grid/network/admin
cat listener.ora
LISTENER_SCAN1=(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=IPC)(KEY=LISTENER_SCAN1)))) # line added by Agent
LISTENER=(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=IPC)(KEY=LISTENER))
                      (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=10.25.xx.yy2)(PORT=1521)(KEY=LISTENER)))) # line added by Agent
ENABLE_GLOBAL_DYNAMIC_ENDPOINT_LISTENER=ON # line added by Agent
ENABLE_GLOBAL_DYNAMIC_ENDPOINT_LISTENER_SCAN1=ON # line added by Agent

Step-2 Update tnsnames.ora from Oracle Home

cd $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin
vi tnsnames.ora

Step-3 Update local_listener

alter system set local_listener=”(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=10.0.33.x)(PORT=1521))(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=10.0.40.xxx)(PORT=1521)))” scope=both sid=’orcl1′;

alter system set local_listener=”(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=10.0.33.x)(PORT=1521))(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=10.0.40.xxx)(PORT=1521)))” scope=both sid=’orcl2′;

now I’m able to access my rac database from OAM network
